His Holiness Pope Tawadros II is graciously inviting 200 of the second and third generation Coptic Youth from the lands of immigration to spend one week in Egypt. The Diocese of Los Angeles will send 6 youth (3 young men and 3 young women).
This is the second conference of its kind with the first being held in 2018 to coincide with the Golden Jubilee of the Coptic Orthodox Churches establishment outside Egypt. The event dates are August 22-29, 2020
+ Experience the deep spiritual life of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt
+ Meet and exchange vision of church and youth with youth from America, Canada, Australia, England, Europe, Asia and Africa.
+ Communicate and network among Coptic youth through the world.
+ Interview Coptic and Egyptian figures in diverse fields
+ Formulate an integrated image of Egypt and the Coptic Orthodox Church
Fees and Registration:
All participants will be responsible for all travel and costs associated with the trip, including $300 registration fee for accommodation, meals, and transportation in Egypt.
Participate must :
+ Be between 22-28 years of age.
+ Be from the second or third generation youth in the Lands of Immigration.
+ Be in good health, and able to adjust to Egyptian climate.
+ Be fluent in English and good comprehension of Arabic.
+ Able to communicate in Arabic
+ Be an active participant in his/her Church.
+ Have a recommendation letter from their father of confession, and acceptance from the bishop.
+ Be willing to actively participate in all program activities.
+ Have valid ID and Passport
+ Not have attended the Coptic World Youth Week in 2018.
